A conversation for your whole MIDI workflow
Maeztro is a macOS companion for the workflow from rig setup to arrangement versions. One local project conversation routes safe session work, rehearsed Live control, jam markers, and source-preserving arrangement drafts.
Apple Silicon private beta. Standard MIDI first; deeper Ableton integration included.

The workflow Maeztro was designed for
Setup → Create Session → Record Jam → Prepare Arrangement Versions remains the workflow Maeztro was designed around. The refactored interface does not force those jobs into tabs or a rigid order; it routes each request to a bounded capability.
Setup
Maeztro reconciles what you describe with detected ports and signed data-only profiles. Onboarding reviews the rig without changing the Live Set.
Create session
Ask for a session move in the conversation. Typed Studio plans and the Composition Compiler expose the tools, targets, and capability limits before confirmation.
Record jam
Your existing mixer, looper, or recorder keeps the audio. Maeztro logs markers, commands, bars, and state snapshots while Live control can remain armed.
Arrange
Arrangement Assistant uses explicit markers and take choices to draft locators or build versions on duplicated tracks. Original Session clips stay untouched.
Built for real MIDI rigs
Model output never controls Ableton or MIDI directly. Plans cross typed contracts, device capabilities, confirmation rules, and Live Pack readiness before execution.
You choose the clock. Timed work stops if the selected MIDI or DAW clock is missing or unstable.
Manual touch wins. Moving the mapped hardware control cancels its active automation.
Control stays bounded. Only approved ports, channels, commands, and verified device capabilities enter a Live Pack.
Emergency stop stays physical. A keyboard or pedal binding can cancel automation immediately.
Your provider—or none
Start with deterministic tools and a safe planning template. Add local Qwen 3 through Ollama, or your own OpenAI key for broader Studio planning. Known commands always bypass both models.
One clear license
No required subscription and no AI markup. The public v1 license covers one person, two personal Macs, and all v1.x updates.
Maeztro v1
$99USD · once
Founding Producer beta: $69 for the first qualified cohort. Apple Silicon only during beta.
Before soundcheck
No. Approved mappings resolve locally. Provider calls, licensing checks, and the network stay outside the real-time MIDI control path.
No. Known commands, music theory, Live control, Performance Log, and the conservative planning fallback work without a cloud provider. Local Qwen 3 through Ollama and your own OpenAI key are optional Studio planners.
Maeztro can compile a musical request into reviewable notes, voicings, rhythms, and bounded patch intentions. You confirm what enters the session, and unsupported device capabilities remain explicit instead of being guessed.
No. Maeztro targets standard MIDI hardware and software. Ableton is the deepest first-party beta integration, while synths, drum machines, effects, controllers, and other DAWs connect through MIDI mappings.
